socially distanced valentines day date

No matter how big or small, everything we do has an impact on the world around us. When we make more environmentally-conscious decisions, it makes the world a greener, cleaner and better place to live. Being in the midst of a pandemic, some may see this as even more of a challenge. However, many people don’t realize that you can still make more eco-conscious choices while also enjoying yourself while also staying safe. Here are a few ways to do that this Valentine’s Day!

1. Do a DIY Project Together

Whether it’s creating a new table from an old box spring or making a blanket from each other’s old sweatshirts, this is a super fun project that will keep on giving long after you’re done with it.

2. Get Active!

If you live in a colder climate, some things you could do are ice skating, sledding, skiing, snowshoeing or even have a snowball fight. If you’re in a warmer climate, you could hit the beach, go on a tandem bike ride, go rock climbing outdoors or play some frisbee in a park. The ideas are endless!

3. Order a Meal Kit

Whether you’re with a friend, a partner or by yourself, this is a great option to cook an awesome meal with fresh ingredients. Leftovers are good too!

4. Board/Card Games

Who doesn’t love some friendly competition? Play a classic game of Battleships, practice your Sicilian Defense in a game or throw on some tunes while you do a puzzle.

5. Create A Scavenger Hunt

This one will take a little work but the payoff is definitely worth it. You can do this in your house or throughout your city. This is a great way to have fun while also creating a meaningful experience for your significant other.

6. Create A Scrapbook or Video.

This is a gift that will be sure to pull at your partner’s heartstrings. It’s a fun project too so get creative with it!

7. Watch Your Favorite RomComs

27 Dresses? Failure to Launch? To All The Boys I Loved Before? Why not watch them all? It is a day to celebrate love, isn’t it?

8. Pamper Yourself!

Do this by taking a heavenly bath, dust off the vinyl and put a record on, enjoy a glass of your favorite champagne and just kick your feet up. You deserve it!

9. Take A Trip (without traveling)

Who says a night in Paris can’t consist of french bread, some good wine and Moulin Rouge? Or maybe you can have some tacos, margaritas and dance to some salsa music in your living room aka Mexico!

10. Write Love Letters To Each Other

Depending on your relationship, this one may seem uncomfortable at first but once you read how much the other person cares about you and vice versa, it will make it worth it all :) Maybe you could even use one of our cards to do it!

These are just a few ideas to have a fun, safe and sustainable Valentine's Day with friends, a partner or yourself!
